MERV 8 Carbon Media Trion "Air Bear" Replacements
The carbon media in these filter is now MERV 8 rated for particulates and is designed for the removal of fumes, odors, and pollutants. Fine carbon powder is crushed and then bonded to lofted polyester media. Carbon media in your ducted air filter allows you to have fume and odor control without a HVAC system retrofit or additional housings or fans.
Residential air cleaner replacement filters are designed to fit existing ducted air filter housings. These housings are often installed in your attic or basement near the heating/cooling system unit. These carbon media filters can be used as a final filter after the initial filter at your return grill has captured the majority of the particulates in the airstream. Using carbon media filters in this fashion will extend thier lifespan because they will not get clogged with particulate dust and will be able to effectively use the carbon available.
