HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Arresting) filters are used in clinics, hospitals and sensitive manufacturing areas. Another rapidly growing area for HEPA filter use is indoor firing ranges. Ventilation systems that use HEPA filters are usually specifically engineered for a certain type of filter.
Five Star Filter’s HEPA filters are certified to be a minimum of 99.97% on 0.3μm per MIL. Standard 282. Metal and wood frame styles available for these filters include box, groove seal, single and double-header, and Double Turned Flange (DTF) styles.
All manufacturing steps are closely monitored to ensure each filter will perform as expected, and only materials that meet our stringent quality standards are utilized. Each filter is tested and a certification sticker is placed on the frame. There are many dealers who sell HEPA-like filters, but unless it has a seal affixed to the filter showing it was tested to the exact mil spec, it is not a HEPA. Five Star Filter offers the following brands of HEPA filters: 5 Star Filter, Purolator, Filtration Group, Flanders and Atmos Tech.
