Powder coating filters are used by a wide range of industries that powder coat their products, including outdoor furniture, weight lifting equipment and metal staircases. Mild steel, galvanized and electroplated steel, aluminum, stainless steel and most other steel alloys can be powder coated.
Powder coating is the process of applying a dry powdered paint compound made of specialized resins and fillers called pigments that melt and fuse together during the curing process to form a painted finish. The solid powder particles are electrostatically charged when exiting the low-velocity, air-powered spray gun. Powder coating filters are used to collect overspray that does not adhere to the item being coated.
Five Star Filter can adjust the filter construction of our powder coating cartridges to suit your needs. We build only heavy duty, top quality cartridges, up to 52” in length, in cellulose blends and spun bond polyester. Spun bond media types include standard, PTFE membrane, water and oil repellent and aluminized anti-static.
For smaller facilities that don’t require cartridge type filters, Five Star Filter also stocks pocket type filters for overspray that serve the same function.
